By reusing only recycled raw materials from both household and industrial sources, such as household appliances, keyboards, televisions, etc., PLACE TIC is helping to reduce plastic waste and protect the environment. What's more, the manufacture of PLACE TIC furniture is 100% environmentally friendly, as no glue, resin, binder or colourant is added. The manufacturing process allows up to 100% of plastic waste to be reused, and 100% of offcuts are reintegrated into production. No binders or surface treatments are added, extending its use indefinitely and making it a model material for the circular economy.
Place Tic uses tiles made from Polygood, a distinctive surface material produced by The Good Plastic Company from 100% recycled and 100% recyclable plastic. Polygood panels are made from post-industrial plastic waste sources of extruded polystyrene, ranging from fridges to disposable cutlery and electronics.
The sustainable benefits of this material are matched by its economic advantages, making it an eco-friendly and economical choice for Place Tic furniture. Polygood panels are used to manufacture recycled plastic sheets and panels, which are then used to design and manufacture the furniture.
